Selection Process for Pymble Students

Step 1

Parents/Carers and the student should discuss the program in detail. Read through all pages of the mini-site

To apply for the Language Exchange, you must study the language to continue into Stage 6 (Year 11/12).  

Step 2

Things that will be considered for students who apply. Students will display the following qualities: 

• positivity 

• independence 

• flexibility 

• self-assuredness 

• willingness to contribute and participate in the school community. 

Students must have a good academic record and be confident that they can catch up on all work they may miss on their return. This is not the teacher’s responsibility; it is the students’. Students must be willing to work independently while away. This can vary based on the time of year that they travel. 

Students must submit an application via video or written by the due date to be considered

• What do you hope to gain personally from an exchange opportunity? 

• What qualities can you bring to a program like Exchange?
