Purpose
The Year 12 HSC Study Camp Code of Conduct has been established to ensure all students behave respectfully and courteously and adhere to procedures established. This will ensure a safe and productive environment during the Study Camp. Normal College rules apply to this camp.
Overview
The most important rule is that you should behave in a way that:
is caring and courteous to other people,
is not harmful or dangerous to yourself or others,
brings credit to yourself, your family and to Pymble Ladies’ College and,
is respectful of other students and to school property.
Attendance and Punctuality
Students must attend the Study Camp every day unless leave has been approved by the parent/carer with the Study Camp Team.
Students must sign in daily, and the Study Camp Team checks the rolls for each study session.
If students require leave from the camp for external commitments, a parent or guardian must email studycamp@pymblelc.nsw.edu.au
Students cannot leave the Study Camp before the end of the programmed day without signing out.
Mobile Phones
Mobile phones can be left in 'phone jail' and collected at the end of the day.
Students must only take photographs or videos during the Study Camp with the permission of the individual being photographed.
The use of mobile phones and electronic devices sits alongside the Student Code of Behaviour written in the College Diary.
Study rooms are for study; therefore, no loud music will be permitted via a mobile phone or other device.
Some rooms will be set aside as ‘break out’ rooms. If there is collaborative study and the use of whiteboards, permission may be sought to take a photo of the work completed.
Respect for Study Areas and others
The spaces in the KM Building and library are to be left clean and tidy
Students respect the rights of others by keeping the noise levels to an acceptable level for that area of study camp.
Students will be asked to leave if they are being disruptive or not participating in the Study Camp.
