Understanding your unique strengths is a powerful first step toward making informed and confident decisions about your future. The CliftonStrengths assessment helps students identify what they naturally do best—providing insights that can shape subject choices, guide career pathways, and build self-awareness. By knowing and using their strengths, students can approach challenges with confidence, collaborate more effectively, and develop a clearer sense of purpose as they plan for life beyond school.
The Strengths and Skills Day will help you to identify your strengths through participating in the Clifton Strengths for Students Assessment Tool. You will be given a personalised Strengths Profile with a list of your Top 5 strengths, learn what they mean and how to confidently communicate them to others.
If you know yourself better, you will be able to articulate your strengths to others clearly and confidently. This in turn, may lead you to opportunities that are best suited to your areas of interest or passion.
You also have the opportunity to participate in workshops to help identify how you can use those strengths in specific situations to prepare you for your future pathways.
How can your strengths be enhanced through microcredentials? These online short courses will help you to achieve mini certifications to recognise your strengths and give you something to add to your Pymble Passport. You also will be introduced to the 'Careers Department' site to access resources and tools to grow your self awareness and confidence in pathways linked to your strengths.
Prior to Strengths and Skills Day, each student in Year 10 will receive a link with an unique code to complete their Cliftons Strengths Top 5 Student Profile.
This identifies your top 5 strengths and produces a personalised report to help you understand and apply these strengths.
You will participate in workshops run by Kathryn Taylor from Turning Point Consultancy to better understand your strengths.
Students who start Pymble after Strengths and Skills Day will be provided their Access Code by the Futures Department.
If you do not receive your code by the end of your second week at Pymble, please email futures@pymblelc.nsw.edu.au to request an access code.
After you complete your Strengths Profile, you will be invited to participate in an Unpacking your Strengths workshop run by a Futures Advisor.
You will receive a unique access code via email from the Futures Department.
