During the summer before their 12th grade year, Val Tech students are required to engage in work-based learning experiences with an organization for a minimum of 150 hours. Projects and tasks should be aligned with their Val Tech Pathway or provide experiences that would enhance their future career. During their internship, they will also participate in a weekly, reflective Career Pathway Internship course which provides additional support and guidance through their instructor. The partnership with North Orange County Regional Occupational Program (NOCROP) provides coverage for workers’ compensation and liability insurance while they are enrolled in this course.
