Meet your Teacher

Hi! My name is Julie Masone and I am looking forward to being your art teacher for the 2020-21 school year!

About me...

I studied Fine Art and graduated with a major in Drawing & Painting at Laguna College of Art & Design in 2010. Moving forward with my passion for the Arts and teaching, I continued my education at Concordia University Irvine, obtaining a M.Ed and Single Subject Credential for Art.

This is my 10th year teaching! This year marks year 4 of teaching Visual Arts at PYLUSD. The remaining 6 years was spent with elementary grade levels.

I am happily married to my husband, Steven. We have two children, Amelia and Gage. Our home is also filled with two, 4 year old dogs (Bear & Bella). I love to trailer camp, garden, travel, and spend time with family!

If I am not teaching, you can find me painting, sketching, and working in my studio. I have had my personal work displayed in various art galleries and do commission work.

I know this year at Bernardo Yorba Middle School will be one of the best and can't wait to get to know you all! Get ready to tap into your talents and abilities as young artists and most importantly...have fun!
