Wrocław University of Science and Technology was established in 1945, mainly thanks to the involvement of the academic staff of the now non-defunct Technical University of Lviv and the Jan Kazimierz University in Lviv, who adapted the destroyed buildings of the German School of Technology - Technische Hochschule.
Today, Wrocław University of Science and Technology continues the tradition of these prominent Polish universities and is developing in close cooperation with Lower Silesia’s leading companies. Ranked alternately second and third in the national rankings, Wrocław University of Science and Technology is currently one of the largest and best technical universities in our country. More than twenty-six thousand students study at the university’s 13 faculties and three branches under the supervision of almost 2,200 academic teachers.
Located along the scenic Odra River bank at Wybrzeże Stanisława Wyspiańskiego 40, Building H-14 is a unique historic facility that blends academic prestige with modern utility. originally constructed in 1930 and revitalized in 2015, the building is best known for the Rector's Hall (Sala Rektorska), which serves as its primary auditorium.
Distinct from a traditional tiered lecture hall, this space functions as an elegant conference venue featuring restored coffered ceilings and a flexible, flat-floor layout adaptable for seminars, banquets, and official ceremonies. The auditorium connects directly to a glass-enclosed veranda and a spacious terrace offering panoramic views of the river, while the building's lower levels house the university's rowing center, including a boat hangar and training pools.

The campus is quite well reachable from most areas by tram or walking, thus it is more of a choice of preference than reachability, however some venues are so close you can actually just walk to campus - like GreenHostel or Starter24.
Below is the local area map to illustrate this context - the four described venues are marked, orange are tram lines that have trams every 5 minutes that bring you to campus in 2-4 stops (~5-10 min). The violet line is the university funicular over the river, runs every 2 minutes.
Very close to the campus below 10 minutes walking distance or 2 tram stops. This is a small hostel, with nice people running it, also quite cheap and has a tasty breakfast: https://greenhostel.wroclaw.pl/en/booking/
An apartment building around 10 minutes walking distance or 2 tram stops, reasonably priced, a little more expensive than the hostel with more room space in the rooms: https://starterapart.pl/
A bed and breakfast affordable hotel closer to the city center than the campus, close to the main tram stop in Wrocław - around 2 or 3 tram stops to reach the campus. Check here.
A little further from the campus but with a comfortable walk to the university funicular, it is a three-star hotel with a garden, restaurant and quite children friendly: https://wodnik-hotel.pl/en/
Next to the ZOO on the east side of the map, 7 minutes by tram, 17 minutes by walk, an affordable hotel close to the campus. https://zoo-hotel.pl/
There are a few single flats/microapartments that can be rented in the vicinity of the campus - here is a broader map view on booking. The building where the seminar takes place is located on the campus denoted as Politechnika Wrocławska on the map view.
