A Note from NEST Inclusion Specialist:

NEST Support during Distance Learning

Dear NEST families,

As you know we are transitioning to a Distance Learning school model for at least the next month, perhaps longer. As you can imagine, this is new territory for our program and we appreciate your patience as we navigate these uncharted waters for our Inclusion Program. We are dedicated to continue to support the students in our NEST inclusion program through consistent communication with families and electronic resources as needed.

This page will serve as just one way in which we can offer you services and support while you provide your child with educational experiences at home. In addition to this page, I will be reaching out to each family individually, to establish a learning and support plan as well as to determine the best way to maintain communication and support for your child in the next several weeks.

This page will also serve as a hub for Speech and Language Support links, Occupational Therapy Links as well as Behaviorist support. I will include electronic links for each of your child's IEP service providers so that you can easily contact them as needed. Additionally, each of these service providers will be reaching out to you as well.

As each student in the NEST has their own unique educational plan, I will be individually arranging a scheduled check in with each family based on the needs of their child. However, the links provided in this site can also serve as a way to reach us directly if you need immediate assistance or have a question. I will also post helpful links and resources for your reference. I will be reaching out to you next week with an individualized student IEP matrix with recommended resource activities or accommodations as well as a recent IEP progress report. Please look for these items in your email inbox.

Sincerely,

Rachael Jones and the NEST Team
