Welcome!!
I am so excited to teach 5th grade at LPSSA for a 4th time this school year! I have learned so much from my previous classes and am excited to learn more from each student every day!
I grew up in beautiful Ojai, California, where I was able to participate in many extracurricular activities. I have played soccer, softball, volleyball, and water polo. I was also in the band where I played the violin, clarinet, and eventually upgraded to the bass clarinet. When I am not teaching, I am reading, hiking, or spending time with my nieces. Ms. Rogers is my second favorite name, as "Auntie" is my first favorite.
I found my University home at California Lutheran University, where I received my Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Education Studies, my Multiple Subjects Credential, and, as of May 2024, my Master's in Educational Leadership. Cal Lu and my professors taught me the importance of creating a safe and fun classroom environment so that all students have the space to learn and express themselves through their education.

Treat People With Kindness: The leading characteristics that are emphasized in our classroom are kindness and respect. This creates a safe and welcoming classroom environment for all!
Homework Policy: The students have time during the school day to finish their homework. Whatever isn't finished by the end of the day is work for home, and the student will have the assignments from the day written in their agenda. The assignments that are highlighted are the ones they did not complete and therefore are homework.
Late work Policy: The students have one week after the due date of the assignment to turn it in. Anything turned in after a week from the due date will not be accepted for credit.
