Welcome and Bienvenidos! My name is Mrs. Bouweraerts (Bore-arts) and I am thrilled to be your student's teacher this year. I am looking forward to having fun, exploring, thinking creatively, and growing with our scholars! I believe in kindness, leadership, responsibility, and the power of a growth mindset. 

I attended Humboldt State University (Go Lumberjacks!) for my bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and CSU Channel Islands for my multiple-subject teaching credential. This is my fifth year teaching elementary and third year teaching 5th grade. It's a pleasure to be teaching at Pleasant Valley School of Engineering and Arts. 

 In addition to teaching, I enjoy reading, playing video games, yoga, and practicing the piano. I have a fantastic husband, Andre, who's a P.E. teacher. I am fluent in Spanish and currently learning Japanese.
