This is my 32nd year teaching. I have taught every elementary level except Kindergarten, Second, and Fifth grade. I have taught Driver's Education at the high school level and also was a coach and referee of high school volleyball for 18 years. I taught sixth grade at Cornerstone Christian School for seven years. I was a sixth grade teacher at Los Altos Middle School for five years, and am entering my fifteenth year as a teacher at Monte Vista Middle School. Can you tell I really enjoy education!? I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Missouri State University and many credits toward an unfinished Master's degree. Someday.....
My husband is a teacher at Rio Mesa High School. We have 33 yr. old twin daughters. Margan is a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy, serving as a helicopter pilot. Whitney is a flight attendant on the West Coast and is the mother of our first grandchild, Cameron.
I am passionate about teaching middle school students. I have found my niche. Coming to Monte Vista every day is not a job; it is a career choice that I love.
