Weekly Homework
Every night, students should read 15 minutes. Please have them track their reading in the reading log that is placed in their homework folder every Monday.
Math homework will be assigned nightly Monday- Thursday night. Homework pages will be listed in the newsletter each week. Please have students bring their math Apply book with them to school each Friday to be checked.
For ELA, there will be a weekly UFLI English phonics practice and Maestra Magana will provide Spanish phonics practice.
Once the year passes some, we may add in additional HW bingo activities or a life skill to practice.
Homework Folder Information
The homework folder will be sent home on Mondays (possibly Tuesday if there is a Monday holiday). Folders need to be returned on Fridays with math Apply book with homework completed. Students can return sooner if all of their weekly homework is complete.
Students’ graded work will be sent home on Mondays in the Leave at Home pocket. Please look over the work and discuss it with your child. If something has been stamped with a review stamp, please sign it and place it in the “Return to School” pocket of this folder. You may keep the remaining work and I encourage you to empty that pocket each week to avoid overflow.
