Curriculum and Resources
Welcome Students and Families
This year will be very similar to last year. We will continue to use all the same materials and curriculum, only the next grade level.
Google Classroom links will be up shortly.
For math, we will use Great Minds. For language arts, we will have Wonderworks and Benchmark. Our science curriculum is Amplify,, which we started with last year and really enjoyed! Social Studies Weekly is our history curriculum, which is supplemented with project learning.

Read Theory
Complete two Read Theory passages with 70% or better. If you get less than 70%, do another one
Remember, READ the passage first. The answers will be easy if you do that. The point is to improve your reading, not your answering. So READ it first.
Journal
Expect to write everyday. I will have a topic, or you can write what you want. You can choose to write in a journal, type it onto a document, or dictate it on your Chromebook. The goal is to write at least 3 complete sentences on the topic.
Read Silently
Read any book of your choice for 20 minute per day.
Epic, Newsela and Scholastic Magazine are good for reading material as well. See Links page to get to those. Keep track of what you read in your agenda.
