One Day At a Time

Finding purpose and joy in life, whether it's personal or professional, is the reason I'm still teaching today!  This school year marks my 34th year in this career.  After graduating from UCSB, I started teaching 4th graders for six years, one year teaching 1st grade, one year teaching a 2nd/3rd combo class, another year in a 1st/2nd combo class, and many more years of my career teaching 2nd grade.  With the evolving expectations and constant demands in the profession, I still find the joy in teaching by taking one day and one school year at a time.
