I was born and raised in California, and have lived everywhere from L.A., to as far north as Eureka/Arcata. I moved to Santa Barbara after graduating high school, and currently reside in Ventura with my husband, our two sons, or goofy dog, and our bearded dragon. I have been teaching for over 15 years in the Pleasant Valley School District. I feel extremely proud to be a founding member of our Digital Learning Academy, and watch our students grow as virtual learners. I love teaching first grade, and value our strong program and team.
Throughout my teaching career, I have held a number of leadership positions including Leadership Team Grade Level Representative, California Principals Support Network Leadership Representative, Beginning Teacher Support Mentor, and CSUCI Credential Program Mentor/Master Teacher.
When I'm not teaching first graders, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, hiking, camping, going to the beach, being outdoors, and teaching/practicing pilates and foundation training.
