My name is Mrs. Cowell and I am your 2nd and 3rd grade teacher.  I am happy to be your teacher this year, and I am so excited to start our learning adventure together.   I am an military wife and have been for over 20 years. We currently have two dogs: Luna, who is six years old and weighs over 100 pounds, and Loki, who is 2 years old and weighs 25 pounds. We enjoy hiking, cooking, gardening, playing darts, and spending time together.

I am originally from Iceland and come from a large family with six younger brothers and three sisters. Having always taught my siblings something new, I chose to pursue a career in education. I moved to America in 2007 and started over with my education. I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a dual degree in Elementary and Special Education and obtained my Master’s in Autism Spectrum Disorder from the same university.

I am thrilled to be part of this fantastic community and look forward to a wonderful school year with you all!
