News to Know
Our field trip to the Griffith Observatory has been approved!
On Thursday, January 21, 2027 we will leave the school at 7:00 a.m. and return around 3 p.m.
We will need a few chaperones to accompany us. We will work out all the details in December!
Halloween Parade- 8:30 on Friday 10/30
No school next Monday, October 26th - teacher work day
On Mondays we will have musical practice for the 5th grade play. We will be working with Mrs. Wilson's class and our music teacher is Miss Emily.
Please keep working on multiplication fact fluency.

Fifth grade Weekly Overview
Math- We are finishing up Module 2 this week. Students will take the end of Module 2 test on Thursday.
ELA- Students will finish up Benchmark unit 3 this week and take the end of unit test on Friday. We will continue to read Esperanza Rising.
We will continue our vocabulary work which is based on Greek roots, prefixes, and suffixes. This week we are doing Unit 7 and 8.
Social Studies- Native American Tribes of North America. We are almost done with this unit.
Science- We are continuing our ecosystems unit.
Weekly Homework
📖Reading- Four at home readings for the week. Log is collected the following Monday.
📏Math-
Tuesday- Lesson 16 Module 2 Apply book
Thursday- No math homework due to test.
