Welcome and Classroom Information
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I am looking forward to another wonderful year at Las Colinas.
Students will be involved in many different learning activities this year. I will post our weekly plan, including the lists of classwork and homework tasks, on this teacher page. Please navigate to the correct tab (organized by course) to see what we're working on.
Don't forget to check ParentConnection/StudentConnection regularly to stay up-to-date on your child's progress toward meeting the state standards. I use Google Classroom to distribute information and assignments to students, but ParentConnection/StudentConnection is the hub of the students' grades.

Tips and Tricks to Support Your Child's Learning:
Check their notes - are they taking quality notes? Scanned copies of my notes are available to all students on Google Classroom. Note taking is a skill we practice before students go off to high school. Your child should be taking notes around 2-3 times per week in my class.
Check their grades - are they turning in their assignments? I do not accept late homework, but I will accept late classwork if students needed extra time. Please have your child email me when they turn in an assignment late so I don't miss it as I enter the grades. I do not receive notifications when students turn in late work.
Help them study. Complete extra problems from the textbook (odd problems have answers in the back of the book). Review their notes. Have them practice on IXL. Ask them what's going to be on the test - they should know!
