Hi! 

I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten at LPSSA. It’s hard to believe, but this will be my 18th year teaching.  I have had the opportunity to teach Kindergarten, first, second, and fourth grades, as well as work as a Teacher on Special Assignment to support writing and reading. I especially love teaching kids how to read!  

I am fortunate to teach alongside my job share partner, Kelli Luna. Mrs. Luna and I have taught as a team for the past three years, and we are thrilled to bring over 50 years of shared teaching experience to Los Primeros. Kelli was my children’s fabulous kindergarten teacher, and it is a joy to have her as a friend and colleague. 

When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My husband and I live in Camarillo, and we have two children, Grace and Owen. We also love playing with our dog, Frankie. I enjoy cheering on my kids at the soccer and baseball fields, traveling, shopping, and reading a good book.

I am looking forward to welcoming our new kindergarteners!

Welcome to Kindergarten!

Mrs. Jacobs and I are so excited to begin a wonderful year with our new A-3 Kinders! We’re looking forward to a year filled with growth, discovery, and lots of fun.

I am fortunate to teach alongside my job share partner, Mary Jacobs. Mrs. Jacobs and I have taught as a team for the past three years, and together we bring over 50 years of combined teaching experience to Los Primeros. It is truly a blessing to work with such a dedicated and talented educator.

In our classroom, we embrace the power of "yet." We know that every child arrives with unique experiences and strengths, and we are committed to helping each student grow by encouraging a love of learning and a belief in their own potential. When a child says, “I can’t do this,” we remind them, “You can’t do it yet!”

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband Marty of 36 years and our sweet Golden Retriever, Lady. I also love being with my family and five wonderful grandchildren. We enjoy camping together, cheering on the Dodgers and Rams, sharing weekly dinners, and hosting game nights. These special moments keep me grounded and bring so much joy to my life.

We are eager to get to know all of our A-3 families and are excited to partner with you to help your child thrive in every way.
