Please review the following homework policy for C-1:

Math homework- Once we get into the curriculum, math homework will be assigned nightly. Please spend no more than 20 minutes of focused homework time on this. The math book will need to be returned the following morning. Help your child stay organized by returning the book to their backpack upon completion of the assignment.

Reading homework - 2nd graders are encouraged to complete 20 minutes of reading each night. This can be independent or shared reading from any source. If your child is in need of books to read at home, they may borrow from our class library and return when ready. As there will not be a written log for these minutes, it is up to you and your child to accomplish this task.

Word Work- Occasional word work (spelling) homework will be assigned and should be returned the following morning.

The website will be updated weekly. Remember there may be changes in the middle of the week if needed, and this page may not be updated to reflect the changes. Please check our website and you can always email or call me with any questions.
