News and Information
Happy Spring Break! See you all again Monday, April 22nd.
In Math this week, we will begin Module 7. Module 7 presents an opportunity for students to practice addition and subtraction strategies within 100 and problem-solving skills as they learn to work with various types of units within the contexts of length, money, and data.
You will see a HW book come home that needs to be returned to your child's backpack each evening. These books will "live" in the backpacks so your child is able to complete their HW no matter where they are after school each day.
In Language Arts, we will begin Unit 9, Buyers and Sellers. The essential question of the unit is: How do the goods we make, buy, and sell connect us? In this unit, students will read and compare selections about basic economics and analyze how the exchange of goods and services affects communities. Our word work this week are words with the -y and -ly endings. Ex: lucky, grassy, badly, and sadly. Help your child identify these words in their reading and spell them correctly in their writing.
