Saint Patrick's Day!
Saint Patrick's Day, also known as the Feast of Saint Patrick, is a religious and cultural holiday held on March 17th, which is the traditional death date of Saint Patrick, who was the foremost patron saint of Ireland. We celebrate Saint Patrick's Day to commemorate the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. The color green started to become a part of Saint Patrick's Day because of the Shamrock's Popularity and Ireland's landscape. One of Saint Patrick's Day's most iconic symbols is leprechauns. Leprechauns are an Irish folklore. Leprechauns are about 3 feet tall. They are supposed to be a fairy in the form of a tiny old man. They are pictured wearing clothes including a cocked hat along with a leather apron. Like everyone else on Saint Patrick's Day leprechauns wear green colored clothes. They love to make shoes, but love gold even more. They are considered mischievous. Often times people try to catch leprechauns on the day of Saint Patrick's Day by setting up traps. It is said that if you catch a leprechaun it bribe you with either a gold coin or three wishes in exchange for its freedom.
Pie Day is a holiday that we celebrate on March 14. This day, we honor the numerical symbol pi (π). The day is celebrated by eating pie, making pi chains, and participating in math challenges.

Many people think fast food is just a quick meal, but fast foods have high calories, sugar, fat, and sodium. Some people think that foods that are served in fast-food establishments sound healthy, but they aren't. Most fast-food meals have over 1/3 calories and fat most children need in a whole day!
On the other hand, there are healthy alternitives. Such as eating a pita with little to no dressing, or staying away from foods like fish and fried chicken. Consumers aare starting to demand healthy options at fast-food chains. People want good tasting food, that is still heathy. People want lower fat, lower cholesterol, and lower sodium foods that still taste good.
Some of these food changes include veggie burgers, salads with mixed greens, "Kid's pack" sub sandwiches, and many other alternative healthy and good tastng foods. Life is all about balance, and when you balance a fast-food meal with a meal that has plenty of vegtables, whole grains, and fruit. You get the nutrients your body needs, and you get a tasty meal to go with it.
Eating a balanced diet is what keeps people healthy. So, in order to eat tasty fast-foods. Always think of an alternative to balance out your diet. Such as removing the dressing, meat, or just eating healthier the rest of the day.
