I first started teaching first grade in Camarillo at Dos Caminos in 2002. Then, in 2003, I started teaching 4th grade and have been ever since. In 2007, I joined the Tierra Linda family and I absolutely love this school community! This year I have the privelage in teaching 4th and 5th graders!
After spending a year with me, your child will know that I am a huge Dallas Cowboys fan (my dad was Texas born and raised and I grew up watching and rooting for them), consider Reese's Cups in its own food group, an animal lover, and LOVE to read. I do not have children of my own, but the 30+ I spend my weekdays with fill my heart plenty. I may not have "human" children, but I do have "fur" children. I have two greyhounds. The picture above was taken at dog daycare for Lucien's birthday. Kit on the left is five years old and is my grumpy giant. I adopted him right before his third birthday. Kit was his racing name and I kept it, but it has morphed into Kit Kat, then Kitty Kat. Lucien (on the right) never raced, but has the ear tattoos like his brother that all racing greyhounds get when puppies. He is two years old and definitely annoys his brother with his playful and happy, exuberant nature. When I adopted him at one and a half, he had a very human name, Eric, that I had to change. I picked Lucien, after a character from one of my favorite book series.
