Nightly Read Aloud

•We appreciate the opportunity to team up with you, to support your child’s learning!  At home, please read aloud to your child nightly.  The Camarillo Library will lend books to you and your child and we are happy to send books home upon request.

ABCs

•Sing ABCs

•Practice Identifying letters in all environments

•Practice writing name, with a capital letter at the beginning only

•Practice searching for high frequency words in all types of texts

•Word Play (example say /m/, /a/, /t/ and your child blends it and says “mat”)

Math

•Count items everywhere (grocery store, dollar store, park, etc)

•Practice Identifying numbers in all environments

•Look for shapes in all environments
