This one-time award will be awarded by the decision of the PVHS Art Teachers. Applicants should be current, senior year art students, maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5, and meet the following criteria. The student should have made a positive impact in the art classroom, having a good attitude about learning art and getting along with other artists, as well as trying their best at all times.

Students should have pushed themselves to do their best on every art assignment, showing they are dedicated to improving in their artistic skills and abilities.

PV Graphic Design Alumni are offering an annual award up to the amount of $250 - $1,000 for any senior taking art at Perkiomen Valley HS, that has an interest in a career within the graphic communications industry; maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA in HS, and been accepted to an accredited college or university with a communication/graphic design program as of the upcoming fall semester. Students must write a short 150-word essay about when you decided to pursue art as a career and *submit an original piece of artwork that reflects their abilities.

The recipient of this annual award will be selected by the decision of the PVHS Art Teachers with the family of Richard Hale, a member of the PVHS Art Department from 1958 to 1993. Applicants should be current, senior year art students who maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0, and are planning to pursue further education to teach within the art field or pursue a career in the arts. The recipient will have demonstrated artistic skills and abilities, curiosity to understand the processes of creating art, and studied some history of art and artists. All applicants must submit an original piece of artwork with their application that reflects your abilities. Award - $250-$500
