Mrs. Minyard was born and grew up in Biddeford, Maine and graduated from Biddeford High School in 1994.  She attended the University of Maine at Orono and earned her Bachelor of Music Education in 1998.  She is a career teacher and completed five years of teaching in Maine before moving to New Mexico in 2003.  She has taught Band, Music Appreciation, AVID, and AP Music Theory at PVHS since then.  She is incredibly proud to be part of the original team that brought Link Crew to PVHS in 2007 and has enjoyed watching the program flourish.  

Mrs. Minyard adores "all things New Mexico", (but especially green chile) and loves to travel with her husband Josh.  When  not teaching or making music, she can be found flat water kayaking, quilting, crocheting, playing her flute, and reading.

Mr. Torres was born and raised in the South Valley of Albuquerque and attended UNM for two years prior to joining the US ARMY in 1996. He had many adventures and graduated from San Diego State University in 2005, with a B.F.A. in painting. He moved back to New Mexico, from Austin, TX in 2014 and has been teaching at PVHS since 2019.

     When not sharing his passion for the Arts and different forms of creativity with his students, Mr. Torres is busy creating his own works of art and practicing Kung Fu. Usually accomplished while listening to various forms of music from Bach to Black Sabbath.
