10-2 May 13 at PVPA
Come to PVPA on May 13th from 10am-2pm for a day of deals, fun, and socialization. We will be selling used books, fidgets, friendship bracelets and more.
For many years, PeaceJam has set up a booth during Octoberfest where we sell items such as pins and cookies. Buyers get to choose which charity the money goes to by putting it into differing bins. The past year, we raised over $250 for Planned Parenthood!
We sold baked goods to support the Invisible Girl Project at the Women's History Month Open Mic to support the empowerment of girls in India.
We held a school-wide raffle to support TranSanta, an organization that works to deliver gifts to trans youth in need, safely and anonymously.
PeaceJam collected used kids books from PVPA students and donated them to Raising a Reader, an early literacy family engagement organization working to close the literacy opportunity gap.
During the 2021 Octoberfest, we invited students to contact their representatives advocating for topics ranging from racial equality in voting access to gender-affirming healthcare for trans youth.
