The Application for the 2027-28 Academic Year will go live on August 4th.
Applications for the 2027-28 School Year Open August 4, 2026
Once the application is live, you can complete the main application and writing sample right away. The grade report is the only piece that comes later. It should be submitted after the first quarter of the 2026-27 school year. If you apply before the first quarter ends, we will send a reminder when it is time to submit the grade report.
The application does not close. Every application received by the end of the first quarter of the Paradise Valley Unified School District calendar will be reviewed at that time, and we begin admitting students in late November 2026. Applications that arrive after that date are reviewed later, and if a student's qualifications and fit match the program, they will likely be added to the waitlist.

Here is an overview of how we review applications. We review all applications received by the end of the first quarter together as one group, and from that batch we work to identify the students who are the best fit and match for the program. Submitting a complete application is what matters most, since we cannot fully evaluate a file that is missing pieces. Each year we receive a growing number of applications from strong students across a range of backgrounds, which makes the process competitive.
We look for excellent writing, teacher recommendations that speak to work ethic and character, and students who will bring a range of school experiences to the group. That mix of perspectives is part of what makes the learning environment work. Our aim is to identify the students best suited to the program, using criteria that have guided our selections since 2012.
An application is complete when it includes the main application form, a teacher recommendation, and a recent grade report.
