Coach Gregg Pestka is a 1987 Shadow Mountain Graduate. Prior to being the Head Boys Cross Country Coach he was the Head Girls Cross Country Coach from 1997 to 2001, Assistant Track & Field Coach from 1997 to 2009, and Head Track & Field Coach from 2010 to 2011. In 2001 he took over the Boys Cross Country team where he currently resides.

Coach Pestka has coached numerous boys region Cross Country team championships, two boys state Cross Country runner-up teams in 2002 and 2005, one boys Track & Field state runner-up team in 2004 and two boys state Cross Country team championships in 2001 and 2006.

Coach Pestka also has coached Joey Heller to a state track individual 1600 meter title in 2004, and one track 4x800 meter relay team to a state title, also in 2004. In addition, Coach Pestka presided over Erwin Jones Jr. winning two individual state track championships in both the 110HH and 300h hurdle races in 2010.

Coach Pestka also coached Track and Field at Shadow Mountains feeder school, Shea Middle School, from 2005-2018 and coached them to three PV District boys Track & Field team championships in 2007, 2009, and 2010
