Our daily schedule and class offerings:
In 7th and 8th grade at Pinnacle Peak the school day consists of 6 classes, 4 Core classes and 2 Electives.
Students move between classes each hour. Learn more about our “Core” classes below.

Social Studies
English
English Language Arts
Our English Language Arts is an integrated reading and writing class that works on novel studys and StudySync to access high level langauge arts content. Our students build amazing skills they can use in all content areas in middle school, high school, and beyond.
For those who qualify, ELA can be taken as a separate honors course.
Math
We provide three different math classes:
7th grade math, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra.
Placement in these classes will depend on your math achievement in 6th grade. Your current teacher will help with making the correct placement.
Science
Science is offered as a comprehensive class that focuses on biology, chemistry, and physics. Main units covered are:
-cells and life
-geological processes
-force and motion
-fields and interactions. We do various projects through the year including building a cell, competing in the science fair and our end of the year Lunar Base engineering project.
Science can be taken for honors. This will not change your schedule, but will include extra assignments/projects throughout the year.
Social Studies
7th grade social studies focuses on revolutionary war through cold war. It also covers government, economic systems, and geography.
