All About Me

I am an Arizona native! I grew up in the Paradise Valley Unified School District, attending Liberty Elementary, Village Vista Elementary, Sunrise Middle School, and Horizon High School. I began teaching in the Paradise Valley School District in 2001 after receiving my Bachelors in Elementary Education from ASU. I have taught kindergarten, first grade, and fifth grade. This is my first year teaching sixth grade. I enjoy opening the minds of children and encouraging them to find their love of learning and reading.

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Jack, and family and friends. I have an 18 year old son who is a recent graduate of the PV district. I also have a 27 year old step daughter with a little baby girl on the way.

• Animal: Dolphin

• Place: I have two special places. The pool/beach...I love the water and the sun! And, the mountains! I enjoy camping, hiking, and our family cabin up in Munds Park.

• Foods: There are so many...sushi, Mexican, iItalian and DONUTS!

• Snacks: Trail mix, hummus with veggies/pretzels, fruit and Cheez-its

• Drinks: Water, Coffee

Hobbies: Reading, shopping, swimming, camping, hiking, attending ball games, playing card and board games, puzzles, and being with my family.
