PVMS PRIDE - PV PRIDE is an acronym made up of many important character traits that the students and staff of PVMS demonstrate every day. PRIDE stands for perseverance, responsibility, integrity, determination, and empathy. When we demonstrate these qualities in our words and actions, it makes our school and community a wonderful, inclusive, and safe place to be.

Today's Announcements

  • October is "Celebrating the Bilingual Child Month." "A person who is bilingual knows two or more languages. This month recognizes that bilingual children act as a bridge between multiple cultures. Knowing more than one language can help you understand others in a deeper and more meaningful way, it also helps children understand other cultures and customs, and it is highly beneficial for future opportunities." Visit the bulletin board on the first floor to learn more and enjoy the activities in Advisory.

  • The Teens 'N Kids Mentoring Club will begin on 10/28 in the ALL room.

  • The week of October 23rd – 31st is National Red Ribbon Week. This week is designed to raise awareness about drugs and alcohol abuse. The dangers of tobacco, the use of hurtful language, self-respect, respect for others and making good choices will be important topics during this week. This year’s Red Ribbon Week quote is “Drug Free Looks Like Me.” During Advisory, on October 25th, this quote will be discussed for a brief period of time. The PTA will be providing fun activities during recess on Tuesday, October 26th (rain date 10/27).

Daily Parent

Parents/Guardians: If you drive your student to school, students must be dropped off at the Student Drop Off Area, located in front of the High School sidewalk. This designated area is marked with a sign and the crosswalk is painted on the pavement. Please do not drop your student off in front of the Middle School, this is the bus lane. Also do not drop students off anywhere in the Middle School parking lot. This creates a dangerous situation.

Student safety is our priority. Thank you for your support.

If you are sending your student home on a different bus with another student, a note MUST be brought in by both students indicating the date, bus number and name of the other student.

If a student goes to a different address for after school care, Transportation 845-528-8900 must be contacted in advance and a note must be sent in with the student on the day of the change.

Cell phones are not permitted during the school day or during lunch periods. Cell phones should be in the student’s locker AT ALL TIMES. Students, please remember to shut off the ringer. Students are not permitted to text / make calls from their cell phones during the school day. If a student needs to contact home, we have a phone in the Main Office that is always available to them. Cell phones may be used AFTER 2:36 dismissal.

Thank you.
