Do you play the guitar? Do you want a place to jam with friends? Do you want to learn how to play the guitar? How about learning the Ukulele? If the answer is yes to any of these questions, The PVHS GUITAR CLUB is for you! The guitar club starts next Wednesday and happens in the band room during unit lunch. All are welcome to attend all Wednesdays or just once in a while, and there is no formal sign-up. Just come down with or without your guitar and enjoy the time playing music alone or with friends.

Attention bilingual people! There will be an informational session about the New York State Seal of Biliteracy this Friday. If you are interested in earning the Seal—which recognizes high school graduates who have achieved a high level of proficiency in English and another language—this is your chance to learn more about the requirements and process. The session will take place on Friday at 10:45 in room 121. If you speak more than one language, or are studying a world language here at school, you may qualify! Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate your bilingual skills and earn a special distinction on your diploma and transcript.

Art club will be having an informational meeting on Monday 9/22 starting at 10:45am in room 113. Anyone interested in hearing about the club and the goals for the year, please request a pass through Smart Pass to Mrs. Armbruster. All are welcome to attend.

The SCIENCE National Honor Society is having its first meeting on Thursday, September 25 at 11am and 2:30pm in room 213. Current members and those applying to the Science National Honor Society should attend.
Putnam Valley High School will offer our 10th and 11th grade students the opportunity to take the Digital PSAT on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Online exam registration began on Aug. 25, 2025 at 8:00 AM and will end next Friday Sept. 12, 2025 at 11:59 PM. The cost of the exam is $25.
Juniors and Seniors interested in joining the Science National Honor Society: Please visit the school’s Honor Society website for requirements and the application. Applications are due Friday, October 3rd.

The Teens~N~Kids Mentoring Program matches elementary age students with high school students as their mentors. Mentors are awarded community service hours for time served in the program. The program meets every Thursday in the Middle School All room, from 2:45 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.

Come down during Unit Lunch (After Academic Skills) and join PVHS Guitar Heroes Mr. Odell and Mr. Kunze in playing some guitar. Everyone is welcome - no experience or instrument is required.
