Let’s be honest, there are many tutors out there who would appreciate the opportunity to strengthen your child’s weak academic areas. My ability to build a trusting relationship with both you and your child will allow honesty, and an open flow of communication. With a solid foundation built on trust, tutoring sessions will be more effective because students will feel comfortable admitting their weaknesses, or when they still do not 100% get something as opposed to just nodding their head and yessing me. I pride myself on finding alternate ways to convey the same point using different teaching modalities to reach all learners. Often times when students ask me questions and expect a quick forgettable answer, I lead their learning by asking them various other questions that will enable them to discover the answer to their original question, making it much more memorable.
