About Mrs. Merrick

I was born and raised in Ohio.

After high school, I moved to Oklahoma where I attended and graduated from Oral Roberts University.

My family moved to AZ while I was in college, and I met my husband, Stuart, here in Phoenix. We enjoyed 36 years together before the Lord called him home in 2023.

We have three children and two daughters-in-law: Kelsey, my oldest, Curtis and his wife, Sara, and Hayden, my youngest, who recently married Karena.

I taught at PVCP for nine years before moving to Hershey, PA, where my husband and I worked as house-parents at a boarding school for underprivileged children. At one point, we had 13 ten year old boys in our home.

After 12 years in Pennsylvania, we returned to Arizona in 2021 and to PVCP, where I have been blessed to once again teach 5th grade with an amazing group of people.
