About Mrs. Leach

My principal goal for this school year is to provide a positive place for learning and spiritual growth for my students. I look forward to a successful year together.

I was born and raised predominantly in Phoenix. For college, I attended the University of San Diego and then Arizona State University (ASU) from which I graduated with a degree in elementary education in 2002. Afterwards, I continued my education at ASU and, in 2003, received a Masters Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision. Following this, most of my teaching career was spent at Cocopah Middle School in the Scottsdale Unified School District. I was a 7th grade math and science teacher for 5 years, and I loved it! Last year, I returned to teaching after a 10 year hiatus as a stay-at-home mom. I taught 5th grade at PVCP, and I absolutely loved every minute. I am so excited to return this year as a middle school science teacher. Science is my passion and always has been my favorite subject.

I have been married for 17 years to my amazing husband, Justin. Justin also received an undergraduate degree from ASU (where we met) before continuing on to earn a law degree from Indiana University. He presently works as a patent attorney in the Valley. We adore our only child, Olivia. Olivia has been at PVCP since Pre-K and is now in 6th grade.

I am ecstatic to be part of the amazing teaching staff at PVCP! I truly believe that God led me to this position. I strive to make my classroom a safe, fun and disciplined place in which my students will enjoy spending time and learn something new each day.

This year will definitely be fun, and I have spent the summer preparing. However, as in every school year, things can and will come up. I believe that a successful school year often depends on an open communication line between parents and teachers. Please feel free to call or text me anytime, and I will do my best to respond in a timely manner. My cell phone number is (602) 321-3565. You can also email me at kleach@pvcp.org. Please, only parents/guardians are permitted to use my cell phone. Students can contact me via email only. Thank you! I look forward to a spectacular year!

Peace and Joy,

Mrs. Kristine C. Leach, M.Ed.

Wish List

Thanks to a generous donor, PVCP was able to purchase new science kits/modules for the 6th and 8th Grade. We will be using Lab-Aids and SEPUP in conjunction with the class textbooks. Feel free to check out their website HERE.

I firmly believe in a hands-on approach to learning, especially science. These laboratory kits contain *most* of the needed materials, but sometimes a need will arise (especially when we do STEM activities). As the year progresses, I will post items that we need in order to complete various explorations. It would be appreciated if you were able to donate and item or two. As the items are purchased, I will remove them immediately from the wish list so there are no duplicates. Thank you in advance!
