Matt Martin - Director
Mr. Martin is an alumnus of Penns Grove High School where he marched for 6 years. He graduated from Rowan University with a degree in Music Education where he was lucky enough to study with Denis Diblasio, Tony Salicandro, and George Rabbai just to name a few. He has been the director at PMHS for that last 4 years and is excited to get the band back on the field of competition this season.
Matt Necelis - Assistant Director
Matt Necelis is a graduate of Penns Grove High School where he marched for 5 years. After High School Matt was a member of the Rutgers University Scarlet Knights Marching Band. In addition, he also spent two seasons with the Reading Buccaneers and won two Drum Corps Association titles with the group in 2009 and 2010.
Colleen LaCross - Color Guard Instructor
Colleen LaCoss began her marching band career with Manalapan High School in central New Jersey, where she spun color guard and was the senior drum major. In 2010, she graduated from the University of Delaware, where she marched for 4 years with the UDMB. Prior to joining the Pennsville staff, Colleen taught for many years with the Manalapan High School marching band and winter guard, where she was the color guard caption head and assistant band director. While her specialty is teaching flag, rifle, and sabre, she is also an avid music lover, having previously sung in choir and musical theater and dabbled in many instruments including clarinet, piano, guitar, trombone and violin. By day she works in non-profit planning events and programs. Colleen is excited to get started on what's sure to be an amazing first year with the PMHS marching band!
Nick Pino - Battery Percussion Instructor
Nick Pino began his marching career with Kingsway Regional High School in 2012 where he spent two years in the front ensemble before moving to their battery. There, he spent two years on quads. His senior year, Kingsway won the USBands Group 3A National Championship. Nick was part of the Cadets2 Drum and Bugle Corps in the summer 2016, where they won their first Drum Corps Associates World Championship. He has also marched with Imperial Dynasty Indoor Percussion during the 2017 season. He was one of the battery percussion instructors at Kingsway for the 2016-2017 season. After that, he was able to teach the quad section at Williamstown High School’s marching band. Aside from marching, Nick is also a student at the Rowan College of Gloucester County as a Criminal Justice major.

Tyler Graves - Front Ensemble Assistant
Tyler is a 2015 graduate of PMHS. He currently studies music education at Rowan University where he is a member of the Trumpet Studio under the direction of Dr. Bryan Appleby-Wineberg. He also performs with the Rowan Concert Band and Brass Band throughout the school year in addition to his work with the PMHS Marching Band.
