About Me

Hello! My name is Tara Fenton I grew up in Seymour, Iowa (one of those towns, where if you blink you might miss it 😉). From there I attained my Associates degree from Indian Hills. I then went on to Graceland University to complete my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in reading. I landed my first job right out of college at Newtown, MO. I spent 8 years teaching Title I Reading and Math. While at Newtown I decided to further my education and complete my Master's degree in Administration. I then, took a job in 2013 with Putnam County School where I taught Third Grade for 2 years and this will be my 5th year in First Grade (Go First Grade!!!).

While working on my teaching career my significant other, Josh Hart, and I settled down in Centerville, Iowa where we raise our 3 children Karver (10), Kyson (7), and Adley (2).

In my free time, hahahaha, what is free time when you have 3 kids???? Let's say, if I'm not busy with my job, taking kids to and from practices, cheering my kids on from the stands, helping with homework, and doing the daily grind stuff around the house... I like to read mysteries, go boating with my family, hang out at the pool, and relax.
