Class Overview:
Outdoor Education is an elective class that pairs with the science elective, National Park Biology. The class focuses on developing students' skills, knowledge, and appreciation for outdoor activities and the natural environment. Students learn through hands-on experiences through an end-of-course backpacking trip. The curriculum often emphasizes environmental stewardship, physical fitness, and safety practices in outdoor settings. By engaging in experiential learning, students build confidence, leadership, and collaboration skills while fostering a lifelong connection to nature.
