The Faculty of Social Sciences at the Pontifical University St Thomas Aquinas - Angelicum - in Rome, has launched a three-year research project on Artificial Intelligence.
The project aims at a theological, philosophical and social scientific analysis of the impact of predictive analytics, an essential method in the operation of AI, on human freedom and social justice.
It will include three research seminars on the topic; its primary objective is to raise awareness of this particular aspect of AI through a series of talks and publications, including a monograph.
Lead researcher of the project is Gábor L. Ambrus PhD, author of From the Golem to Freedom: A Study on Technology and Religion (London: Bloomsbury, 2024).
