Hello! I am Mrs. Fitzpatrick, the School Counselor here at Edwin Markham Middle School. As the School Counselor I focus on the social/personal, academic and career exploration needs of our students. I meet with students both on an individual level and in group settings. I will also be in the classrooms throughout the year providing curriculum related to mental health, organization, social skills, study skills and more. My role is to work collaboratively with parents, teachers, students and support staff to help students succeed academically.
I have been a part of the team at Edwin Markham since 2016. Since then, I have enjoyed getting to know the students and helping support them to reach their potential and set their goals for even more. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from University of California, Santa Barbara and hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology as well as a Credential in School Counseling from California State University, Sacramento. I am the mother of boy/girl twins who are in College and an amazing 8 year old Black Labrador. When I am not at school, I enjoy family time, yoga, and walking our dog. When time allows, I also love to travel, cook/bake, and read.
Parent conferences and consultation are an important part of my job. If you have specific concerns regarding your child that may impact their school success please reach out to me.
