Google Certified Educator (GCE) is a program designed and managed by Google for educators who use G Suite for Education as part of their teaching and student learning, and business functions. The program combines work and classroom experience with Google developed training resources and examinations that lead towards certification. There are two certifications: Google Certified Educator Level 1 & Google Certified Educator Level 2. To prepare, PUSD is providing support to teachers who are interested in pursuing this optional certification program in the form of live trainings, self paced resources and exam prep.
Certification Exam Details
Google Certified Educator Level 1 and Level 2 exams are taken online.
For each exam you are given 180 minutes to finish.
The cost for the Level 1 exam is $10.
The cost for the Level 2 exam is $25.
The certifications are good for 36 months.
Please check with your administrator to make sure they will reimburse you for the cost of the exam. A purchase order will need to be opened by your site in your name before registering for the exam.

Pass GCE Level 1 certification exam
Provide receipt and results of the exam to Tech by emailing gce.exam@pusd10.org and your site secretary for reimbursement. Please forward the two emails with the subjects:
"Registration receipt for your Google Certification"
"Your Google for Education certification results"
Earn continuing education hours
We encourage you to achieve your Level 1 certification before your Level 2 certification.
