REFRIGERATION AND THERMO-FLUID LABORATORY

Greeting

Welcome to visit RTF Laboratory homepage!

Industrial development and the improvement of living standards have increased the demand for energy, which has been mainly supplied by fossil fuels. However, energy consumption has caused global environmental concerns, with widespread calls to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve the efficiency of energy systems.

In both modern urban life and rural households, refrigeration and air conditioning systems are responsible for about 30% of total energy comsumption. Upon this background, the importance of design technology has been highlighted as a method to improve energy efficiency of refrigeration systems.

The RTF Lab pursues theoretical and experimental researches in the area of thermo-fluid science and its applications to energy system. In more specific, the RTF Lab is interested in two-phase flow, boiling & condensation and their applications to HVAC & Refrigeration systems and nuclear power plants.

The RTF Lab provides opportunities for post-doctoral fellows, Ph.D students, and Master students to develop professionally in the area of thermo-fluid science and its applications to energy systems.
