In May 2023, we updated our 2017 workshop titled "Radically Redefining Relationships" and presented it to the students in Fisher Park Middle School. In this new update of our workshop, we talked about the different types of relationships, how to spot a dysfunctional relationship and consent!
In September 2022, we held our annual SlutWalk (previously postponed by COVID). The event is to protest against sexual violence and rape culture by coming together to make our voices heard. This year, we had roughly 150 participants!
For 16 Days of Activism 2022, we created a webinar to educate folks on the priority theme of Femicide. Our webinar focused on the Canadian context, as we feel that many people disregard femicide as a non-Canadian issue.
In the summer of 2022, we accepted a request to create a workshop for the Causeway Work Centre. From this request, the Sexual Violence & Prevention Workshop was born! This workshop dives in to different forms of sexual violence + common trauma responses, as well as what can be done to prevent it.
This workshop, created in the spring of 2021, discusses all things Body Image! We dive into the history of body image movements, dispel myths like the BMI, and end the session with a group affirmation. This workshop debunks all that we've been told about our bodies - that they're too big, small, hairy, etc. - and creates a vulnerable discussion space.
