Your success in presenting lies not only with the quality of the presentation you develop and deliver, but also with making sure all logistics are in order.
All sessions will be held in Adobe Connect
Sessions are 40 minutes with 10 minutes of Q&A (50 minutes total)
Presenters will enter as guests and be promoted to presenter with mic functions
Connect to the session using the Adobe Application
A hardwired Internet connection should be used, if possible, for a problem-free experience
Avoid sharing your connection with other users during the presentation as this may cause issues
Browser Specifications: Apple Safari (v12.0 & above), Google Chrome (v70.0 & above), Mozilla Firefox (v65.0 & above), and Microsoft Edge (Chromium) (v79.0 & above)
Audio capable equipment is required, including headset, microphone, and speakers
Turn off your cell phone
Present from a quiet space with minimal outside noise and disturbances
Images serve to underscore the conference theme and the presentation content
Complementary colors schemes and appropriate PowerPoint themes (or Google Slides for posters) are used
Images are visually appealing and are correctly cited to avoid copyright violations
Copyrighted material is used with written permission. Documentation must be provided with your presentation submission.
Clearly connect to the conference theme
Practical application for the audience that can be implemented in attendees' own research, classrooms, or other professional areas
Employ vivid examples derived from experience that illuminate the topic
High quality source materials are used (within last 3 years for books, 5 years for journals, peer reviewed, landmark studies for the field). Low-quality source material such as Wikipedia and other undocumented, non-vetted resources are avoided. Sources are cited consistently and correctly, both parenthetical citations and references page(s)

Draw the audience in through appropriate questioning
Answer audience questions
Demonstrate innovative techniques and tools
Employ strong vocal delivery
Use strong visual delivery
Create rapport with the audience
Provide the audience with additional resources to be explored independently
Clearly and consistently communicate(s) at least two learning outcomes
Learning outcomes are clearly supported by content and delivery
