Demand avoidance is defined as a persistent and marked resistance to 'the demands of everyday life', which may include essential demands such as eating and sleeping as well as expected demands such as going to school or work. It is experienced by and observed in many neurodivergent individuals. In this coffee talk, Christine O’Neal and other members of the Neurodiversity ERG will discuss their experiences with demand avoidance and ideas for overcoming it. This event will be held via Google Meet.
