Cycle 27: A Year in Review!

We started the year off with our exciting new library space and re-familiarizing ourselves with our library catalog, Destiny Discover! We reviewed how to use the library catalog and more importantly how to help yourself find books that interest you as well as reciprocating the feedback loop by recommending books to your peers.

Research is a big part of 7th and 8th grade and we reviewed access to your research resources. We reviewed the importance of smart searching using boolean operators, the acronym CRAAP to help validate websites, using the library databases & encyclopedias as well as utilizing NoodleTools for our citations.

We spent a bulk of the year covering digital citizenship lessons. We hope that the lessons about our online and offline presence as well as the importance of responsible use and sharing of information have stuck with you. We hope you are being reflective about your online and offline practices!
