Erminie Crockett ’48 Gartley (ECG) was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Wendell Frank and Myrtle Lau Crockett on May 22, 1930. In the fall of 1946 she entered Punahou School as a Castle Hall boarding student from Maui.

Theone Irene Ku’ulei’i’ini Vredenburg (TV) was born on February 26, 1928, the younger of two daughters of Theodore and Beatrice Irene Davison Vredenburg. She was accepted as an 11th grader and boarding student from Hawai'i-Island to Punahou School.
