Pulaski County Intervention System (PCIS)

District Leadership

Pulaski County has established a district leadership team to support and monitor schools in the implementation of MTSS related to academics, behavior., and social-emotional learning. The core membership of our district leadership team includes:

  • District RTI Coordinator

  • District PBIS/SEL Coordinator

  • Director of Special Education

  • Asst. Director of Special Education

  • District Instructional Supervisors

  • Coordinator of Student/Family Support Services

  • District and Schools Improvement Planning Coordinator

This team meets at least quarterly to monitor various aspects of implementation fidelity and student outcome data.

Our district leadership team provides technical assistance, training, and support for schools as they develop systems of intervention and data collection procedures. To assist with this, the district leadership team has developed this website as well as a guidance document called the Pulaski County Intervention System (PCIS), which serve as reference tools for schools as they implement systems of academic and behavioral support.

Monitoring

The district leadership team uses a variety of tools to monitor implementation and assess student outcomes related to our system of interventions. School implementation teams complete an annual "self assessment" of implementation efforts using a tool provided by their curriculum supervisor. School implementation teams also compile data from specified outcome measures into an RTI Report Card (also provided by their curriculum supervisor). These sources of data assist school implementation teams in developing an RTI Action Plan which guides schools at their own pace through phases of RTI implementation.
