In the Robot Skills challenge, Teams will compete in sixty-second (1:00) Matches in an effort to score as many points as possible. These Matches consist of Driving Skills Matches, which are entirely driver controlled, and Programming Skills Matches, which are autonomous with limited human interaction. Teams will be ranked based on their combined score in the two types of Skills Matches.
Teams in the NMS_RP are required to constantly explore improvements to their robot and programming designs. One factor that helps teams improve, is constantly seeking to improve their overall Skills score. NMS_RP will aid in this pursuit by setting standards of a required minimum aggregated Skills score.
The Required Minimum Aggregated Skills Score (RMASS) will be the standard for every team to reach by a date certain. Holding NMS_RP teams accountable to a standard will allow our teams to obtain an advantage over their competition.
