Stem Cell Therapeutics
Adipocyte-Targeted Delivery Systems via Stem Cell-Derived Bioactive Compounds for Regenerative and Anti-Inflammatory Applications
Stem cell-derived bioactive factors are utilized to develop targeted therapeutic platforms aimed at modulating inflammatory responses and promoting tissue regeneration. By leveraging the paracrine signaling properties of mesenchymal stem cells, our research focuses on enhancing cellular repair mechanisms, restoring tissue homeostasis, and advancing translational applications in regenerative medicine.
Drug Delivery Platform for Anti-Obesity Using Biopharmaceuticals
Curcumin Nanosphere Development via ROS-Mediated AKT/mTORC1/PPARγ Signaling Inhibition for Anti-Adipogenic Therapy
Curcumin-loaded nanospheres (CN) are developed as a drug delivery system to suppress adipogenesis in a high-fat diet (HFD) mouse model. Following cellular uptake via endocytosis, CN effectively inhibits ROS generation, thereby suppressing the downstream AKT/mTORC1/PPARγ signaling cascade and reducing fatty acid synthase (FAS)-mediated lipid accumulation. This approach offers a promising biopharmaceutical strategy for the treatment of obesity by modulating key adipogenic pathways at the cellular level.
Oral Drug Delivery System for Inflammatory Bowel Disease Treatment
Colon-Targeted Oral Drug Delivery via αvβ6 Integrin-Mediated Nanoparticle Uptake for IBD Treatment
Orally administered nanoparticles are protected in the stomach (pH 2.0) and released in the colon (pH 7.0), where they are taken up by damaged epithelial cells via αvβ6 integrin, suppressing inflammatory mediators (p-NF-κB, iNOS, COX-2) and pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α), ultimately promoting epithelial recovery.
